Dockery Ministries Daily Inspiration

The Dockery Ledger, October 2026 Newsletter

by Dockery - Monday, October 12, 2026

Dear Valued Clients,

As we enter October, I am pleased to share this month’s edition of The Dockery Ledger, featuring important updates for the upcoming 2027 Tax Season, client reminders, Dockery Ministries news, and information about the services and products that will be available to you.

Commitment to Tax Compliance and Transparency

I am sharing information about my personal and business tax filings as part of my continued commitment to honesty, accountability, transparency, and responsible tax compliance.

For the 2026 tax year, with returns filed in 2027, I anticipate filing the following:

  • Individual Income Tax Return: I will file Form 1040 and report income earned from my part-time employment with Hilton. I expect to claim two qualifying dependents—a teenage son and an adult family member with a disability—and any tax credits for which I am legally eligible, including the Earned Income Tax Credit. I also plan to apply for a Fast Cash Advance and utilize the Refund Transfer Service with Fast Forward.
  • Dana M Dockery CPA MS PLLC: The firm will file Form 1120 and expects to conclude the year with a profit.
  • Dana M Dockery CPA MS Service Bureau PC: The company will file Form 1120 and expects to break even by year-end, as 2026 is its first year of operations.
  • Glisten and Gleam Cleaning Incorporated: The company will file Form 1120 and expects to break even by year-end. Although the business was established in 2026, official operations have not yet launched.
  • Dockery Ministries: As a tax-exempt nonprofit organization, Dockery Ministries expects to file Form 990-N because its annual gross receipts are anticipated to remain within the applicable filing threshold.

As part of my personal commitment to faithful giving, I donate 10% of my employment earnings to Dockery Ministries each week through Givelify. All contributions and related tax filings will be properly documented and reported in accordance with applicable tax laws.

Client Appreciation Corner

Thank you to every client and contributor who has supported my business. Whether you made a donation, provided a referral, or continued to support us year after year, please know that you are sincerely appreciated.

I am a humanitarian first—before being a mother, CPA, evangelist, or business leader. I firmly believe in treating others exactly as I would want to be treated—with kindness, dignity, fairness, and respect.

Thank you for your trust, encouragement, assistance, and continued support. It truly means more to me than words can express.

Our Tax Deduction Corner: New for 2027

Please come prepared for your tax-preparation session by gathering all supporting documentation necessary to substantiate the deductions and credits claimed on your tax return. This may include:

  • Mortgage Interest Statement (Form 1098)
  • Charitable contribution statements and receipts
  • Tuition Statement (Form 1098-T)
  • Student Loan Interest Statement (Form 1098-E), if applicable
  • Small-business expense records and receipts
  • A completed business profit-and-loss statement
  • Your prior-year tax return, if you are a new client

Maintaining complete and accurate documentation is essential, particularly in the event of an IRS examination. Beginning in 2027, we will review the appropriate supporting documentation before including applicable deductions or credits on your tax return.

Before your tax-preparation appointment, I will review your prior-year return and request specific documentation when appropriate, particularly if you intend to claim deductions or credits similar to those claimed in the previous year.

Fast Cash Advance—Up to $7,000

As we prepare for the upcoming tax season, we are pleased to share information about three of our most popular products: the Fast Cash Advance, Refund Transfer Pay-by-Refund Option, and Fast Forward.

The Fast Cash Advance will be available from January 2 through March 12, 2027. Approved advances may be issued by check or direct deposit within 24 to 48 hours after approval.

During the 2026 tax season, we provided Fast Cash Advance loan products to 14 taxpayers totaling $27,500.

Beginning January 2, 2027, we will offer the Pre-Ack Fast Cash Advance. Beginning on the first day the IRS accepts tax returns, we will offer the Post-Ack Fast Cash Advance.

Our clients have historically experienced an approval rate of approximately 90%. However, all applications are subject to the participating lender’s eligibility requirements and approval.

The Fast Cash Advance is a loan with an annual percentage rate (APR) of 35.99%. For example, a $2,000 loan repaid in 30 days at a 35.99% APR would result in a total repayment amount of approximately $2,059.16.

Loan repayment is deducted from your anticipated federal or state tax refund, whichever refund is funded first.

Refund Transfer—Pay Your Tax-Preparation Fees From Your Refund

The Refund Transfer is a convenient Pay-by-Refund option available to qualifying clients who expect to receive a tax refund. Instead of paying applicable tax-preparation and related fees upfront, participating clients may have those fees deducted from their refund.

The following additional fees apply:

  • Santa Barbara Tax Products Group: $44.95
  • Dana M Dockery CPA MS Service Bureau PC: $75.00
  • Total Additional Refund Transfer Fees: $119.95

A Refund Transfer is not a loan and does not provide faster access to an IRS refund. Product availability, eligibility, timing, and disbursement are subject to applicable terms and conditions.

Our goal is to have at least 80 clients utilize this option during the 2027 tax season. Clients selecting this option will be charged our adopted and publicly published fee for the season.

Fast Forward—Access Your Tax Refund Five Days Early

Fast Forward provides participating clients access to their tax refund five days early for an additional $25 fee, paid to Santa Barbara Tax Products Group.

Clients must select the Fast Forward option and pay the applicable fee from their tax refund to receive this benefit. Availability and timing are subject to the applicable product terms and conditions.

Our 2027 Tax-Preparation Fees Have Been Adopted

Our tax-preparation fee for the 2027 Tax Season is $500 per tax-return preparation service, representing a 25% increase over the 2026 tax season.

Any optional bank-product, Refund Transfer, cash-advance, or early-refund-access fees are separate from the $500 tax-preparation fee.

Our Tax Debt Resolution Service Fees Have Been Adopted

Our Tax Debt Resolution Service fee is $500 per taxpayer, representing a 25% increase over the 2026 tax season.

We will communicate and negotiate directly with the Internal Revenue Service on your behalf in pursuit of an appropriate resolution for your past-due federal tax debt. Any proposed settlement or resolution is subject to IRS eligibility requirements and approval, and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

Our Track Record

In 2020, we successfully negotiated an $8,000 settlement for approximately $285,000 in past-due federal income tax debt.

This example reflects the outcome of one prior matter. Every taxpayer’s circumstances are different, and past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

Establish Your Own Tax-Exempt 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization

For a fee of $1,500, we will assist with the process of establishing a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on your behalf.

Following completion of the organizational process, one of your next steps will be to visit your financial institution to establish a nonprofit checking account.

This service is designed for individuals who are actively involved in ministry or community work and are prepared to lead, serve, and make a positive impact in their communities.

Expanding Our Tax-Preparation Network for 2027

We are also pleased to announce that the Dana M Dockery CPA MS Service Bureau PC business tax software for the 2027 Tax Season will be released this month. The software will support participating tax professionals as they prepare for the upcoming filing season.

There are no upfront costs to use our software. The fee for utilizing our business tax software is $75 per client who uses the Refund Transfer Pay-by-Refund Option. Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, our preferred tax-refund and fee-collection processing partner, will deduct and process this fee.

Dockery Ministries Monthly Update

Our October 2026 month-long teaching series, “Men of God in the Bible,” begins on Friday, October 2, 2026.

Throughout the month, the Dockery Ministries Daily Inspiration will highlight the lives, faith, character, challenges, and contributions of men throughout the Bible.

Our website is now live! Visitors may view the Dockery Ministries Daily Inspiration messages and make tax-deductible donations online at https://dockeryministries.org.

We have completed Step 1 of the Responsive Grant process by submitting a $25,000 grant application to the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis. The next step is a site visit to our Clark Tower location.

If awarded, the funding will be available during calendar year 2027 and will be allocated toward personnel costs, office rent, and essential office and technology supplies.

At Dockery Ministries, we exclusively use the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible as we prepare each Daily Inspiration message. Please send your prayer and/or support requests to dailyinspiration@dockeryministries.org.

Please Remember Dockery Ministries During Your Year-End Giving

Dockery Ministries accepts tax-deductible charitable contributions. Please keep us in mind as you prepare to make your year-end donations.

Your generosity helps us keep our doors open and continue serving economically disadvantaged households. Dockery Ministries supports individuals and families in underserved communities who may have limited incomes or difficulty accessing essential resources and services.

Every contribution helps us continue our mission of supporting, empowering, and connecting members of our community with the resources they need.

A Closing Message From Dockery Ministries

Matthew 22:21 (KJV):

“Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.”

There is a blessing in responsibly paying our tax obligations. When we fulfill our lawful financial responsibilities, we demonstrate honesty, accountability, and responsible stewardship.

Throughout my professional career, I have witnessed taxpayers with significant financial resources pay substantial tax liabilities immediately following their tax-preparation sessions. In one instance, a gentleman owed $75,000 and paid the entire balance from his savings account at the conclusion of the session.

I have also worked with individuals who made no charitable contributions but nevertheless chose to fulfill their tax obligations in full. These experiences serve as reminders of the importance of honesty, integrity, accountability, and responsible financial stewardship.

Happy Early Halloween! 🎃

We wish everyone a safe, enjoyable, and Happy Early Halloween from the Dana M Dockery CPA MS family!

Guided by Faith. Driven by Love.
